Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how BloxPlan uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and application. It is written in plain language so you understand exactly what is stored on your device and why.

Section 1

Introduction

BloxPlan ("we", "us", or "our") is a Roblox creator planning workspace. This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels — on our website and application (collectively, the "Service").

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information more broadly. Together, these documents describe how BloxPlan handles your data.

Section 2

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit it. They help websites remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in, your preferences, or actions you have taken.

Cookies are widely used to make websites work properly and more efficiently. They are not programs and cannot carry viruses or access information on your device beyond what the website explicitly stores in them.

In addition to traditional cookies, BloxPlan may use related technologies with similar purposes:

  • Session storage — temporary data stored in your browser that is cleared when you close your tab or window.
  • Local storage — data stored in your browser that persists between sessions, used for things like saving your preferences.
  • Pixels and tracking tags — small pieces of code that may be used in the future for analytics or advertising purposes. See Section 7.
Section 3

Types of cookies we may use

BloxPlan is an early-stage product. The categories below describe the types of cookies and similar technologies we currently use or may use as the product grows.

Necessary Cookies Required

These cookies are essential for BloxPlan to function. They handle login sessions, authentication tokens, security checks, and core application state. Without them, you cannot sign in, stay signed in, or use the app. These cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the Service. Examples include session identifiers set by Supabase (our authentication provider) and security tokens that protect your account.

Preference Cookies Optional

These cookies remember your settings and choices so you don't have to re-enter them every visit. Examples include your selected theme (dark or light mode), saved layout preferences, UI state, and any choices you make within the BloxPlan dashboard. Disabling these cookies means your preferences may not be saved between sessions.

Analytics Cookies Optional

These cookies help us understand how visitors use BloxPlan — such as which pages are visited most, how long users spend on certain sections, and where users come from. This data is used in aggregate to improve the product. We may use tools such as PostHog, Vercel Analytics, or similar services for this purpose. These tools may set their own cookies or use browser storage.

Product Usage Tracking Optional

Beyond basic page views, we may track specific interactions inside BloxPlan to understand how features are being used. This includes events such as projects created, game plans generated, saved plans, copy button clicks, template previews, and upgrade button clicks. This data helps us prioritise features and improve the product experience. It is not used to build advertising profiles or sold to third parties.

Marketing Cookies Planned — not yet active

We may add marketing or retargeting cookies in the future if we run paid advertising campaigns. These could include pixels from platforms such as TikTok, Google, or Meta that help us measure campaign performance, reach users who have previously visited BloxPlan, or understand which channels bring new users to the product. We will inform you and request appropriate consent before activating any marketing cookies.

Payment-Related Cookies Planned — not yet active

When BloxPlan introduces paid plans, our payment provider (Stripe) may set cookies or use similar technologies to support secure checkout, fraud detection, and abuse prevention. Stripe operates as an independent data controller for payment data. Their cookie and privacy practices are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

Section 4

Third-party tools

BloxPlan relies on third-party services to deliver and improve the product. These providers may set their own cookies or use similar tracking technologies when you interact with BloxPlan. Their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.

Supabase
Authentication & Database

Supabase handles user authentication and stores account and project data. It may set session cookies and authentication tokens necessary for you to stay logged in. Supabase Privacy Policy →

Vercel
Hosting & Edge Delivery

Vercel hosts and delivers BloxPlan's website and application. Vercel may collect technical request data (IP address, request logs, performance metrics) as part of serving web pages and may use its own analytics if Vercel Analytics is enabled. Vercel Privacy Policy →

Anthropic / OpenAI or other AI providers
AI-Assisted Generation

BloxPlan uses AI APIs to power its game planning and content generation features. These providers process prompts and outputs via API calls and do not typically set cookies in your browser directly. However, they may log API requests on their servers as described in their respective privacy policies. Anthropic Privacy Policy →

PostHog (or similar analytics)
Product Analytics — Planned

We may use PostHog or a similar product analytics tool to track feature usage and understand how BloxPlan is used. If enabled, these tools may use cookies or local storage to identify returning users and track events across sessions. We will request your consent before activating non-essential analytics tools. PostHog Privacy Policy →

Stripe
Payments — Planned

Stripe will be used when BloxPlan introduces paid plans. Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and secure checkout. Stripe operates as an independent data controller and is responsible for its own cookie practices. Stripe Privacy Policy →

TikTok / Google / Meta (Advertising Pixels)
Advertising — Not yet active

If BloxPlan runs paid advertising campaigns in the future, we may deploy tracking pixels from platforms such as TikTok, Google Ads, or Meta. These pixels may set third-party cookies on your device. We will update this policy and request appropriate consent before any advertising pixels are activated.

Section 5

How we use cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are used across BloxPlan for the following purposes:

  • Keep you signed in — necessary session and authentication cookies ensure you stay logged into your account across page loads and browser sessions without needing to re-enter your password.
  • Protect the Service — security tokens and session identifiers help us detect and prevent unauthorised access, account takeover attempts, and other abuse.
  • Remember your preferences — preference cookies save your settings (such as theme and layout choices) so BloxPlan feels consistent every time you return.
  • Understand product usage — analytics and event tracking help us learn which features are most useful, identify confusing parts of the product, and prioritise improvements.
  • Improve BloxPlan — aggregate, anonymised usage data informs product decisions such as new features, bug fixes, and user experience changes.
  • Measure marketing performance — once advertising is introduced, marketing cookies will help us understand which channels and campaigns bring users to BloxPlan so we can invest wisely.
  • Support secure payments — when paid plans are introduced, Stripe will use cookies for fraud prevention and to maintain a secure checkout experience.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles for third parties, sell cookie data to data brokers, or track you across websites unrelated to BloxPlan.

Section 6

Consent and choices

Under Quebec's Law 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector) and Canadian federal privacy law (PIPEDA), we are required to obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies or tracking technologies on your device.

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies are required for the core functionality of BloxPlan — including login, authentication, and security. Because they are essential for the Service to function, they do not require your consent and cannot be opted out of while using BloxPlan.

Non-essential cookies

For optional cookies — including analytics, preference, and marketing cookies — we present a consent banner the first time you visit BloxPlan. The banner gives you two choices:

  • Accept All — enables analytics cookies so we can understand how BloxPlan is used and improve it over time.
  • Essentials Only — disables analytics cookies. Only cookies required for the site to function are set.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time by clearing your browser data for bloxplan.app, which will prompt the banner to reappear on your next visit.

Browser settings

You can also manage, restrict, or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear cookies on exit. Note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent BloxPlan from functioning correctly.

For guidance on managing cookies in your browser, see the help documentation for your browser:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Section 7

Analytics and advertising

BloxPlan is currently in early development. At this stage, analytics and advertising cookies are limited or not yet active.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how users navigate BloxPlan, which features are popular, and where users encounter issues. Any analytics cookies or local storage used for this purpose will be disclosed here and subject to consent where required by law. We intend to use tools that support data minimisation and do not build individual advertising profiles.

Advertising pixels

We do not currently run paid advertising campaigns or deploy advertising pixels. If this changes in the future — for example, if we run campaigns on TikTok, Google, or Meta — we will:

  • Update this Cookie Policy before activating any pixels
  • Request your explicit consent where required under applicable law
  • Provide clear opt-out options through the consent management tool

You will not be surprised by advertising trackers without notice.

Section 8

Changes to this Cookie Policy

BloxPlan is an early-stage product and will grow over time. As we add new features, analytics tools, payment systems, or advertising capabilities, this Cookie Policy will be updated to reflect those changes.

When we make material changes — such as adding new categories of cookies or new third-party tools — we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email or through an in-app notice.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of BloxPlan after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy, except where your explicit consent is required.

Section 9
